The official website of the Neighborhood Empowerment Network (NEN) Powered by a strategic partnership of City Agencies, local non profits and committed community leaders, the NEN is a collaborative platform that serves as a central engagement point for communities to find and share information that will empower them to make their neighborhoods a better place to live. The NEN helps both established and up and coming community leaders learn of new ways to help their neighborhoods become safer, greener, cleaner, stronger, and ultimately be better prepared for natural disasters.

As we head into the Fall, we wanted to make sure that you set aside the evening of November 13th to attend the 2008 NEN Awards here at City Hall. This will be a joyous event celebrating the amazing work that has been happening in our neighborhoods.

The program will feature an announcement of the recipients for the 2009 Community Challenge Grants as well as the issuance of the first ever NEN Awards.

The NEN Awards are our way of saluting the great work that happens every day in our communities. The categories include Best Neighborhood Newsletter, Best Community Building Project as well as the creation of the NEN Hall of Fame.

Don't delay, registration is FREE but limited.
