NEN Events
The Neighborhood Empowerment Network (NEN) realizes that community building requires the opportunity to come together in person and share ideas and network with others that have the common goal of transforming the world around them.
The NEN has produced several events including:
The 2007 Neighborhood Empowerment Summit
This all day gathering, held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in the Fall of 2007, allowed 500 people from all over San Francisco to spend the day attending seminars on community building, enjoying a resource fair with over 60 agencies and the chance to hear Latoya Cantrell from New Orleans tell her neighborhood’s story of how it empowered itself to come back after Hurricane Katrina. The 2008 NEN Clean and Green Summit
